Our Story
Has a mission trip ever changed your life?
God knew what he was doing when two strangers met over Zoom during the first-ever “digital mission trip” at The Church of Eleven22.
As a totally online project, a digital mission trip allows those with programming, design, media, and communications skills to be part of remote discipleship and project-focused sprint. No plane tickets required.
We were just two marketing professionals who said “yes” to the opportunity for obedience. Maria was a new mom and content marketing manager, laid off due to COVID-19 the week before the mission trip started.
That same week, Ray started a new job as a corporate UX/UI designer and was busy planning to move onto her boat. God brought together two women with big life changes to use their gifts for His glory.
After finding joy in teamwork creating the first site together, we were asked to lead the church’s second digital mission trip. An even more enthusiastic “yes!” led us to a greater understanding of God’s calling for our lives in digital ministry.
That’s when Sunday Sites was born.
